Senior Brand Manager
As a senior brand manager of Yellowglen I guess we’re really a custodian of the brand, we’re here to help the sales team to sell the product. It’s such a great brand and I really love the role I have.
We have an amazing portfolio of brands such as the global brands like Penfolds, Lindemans, Rosemount, Wolf Blass. We have some great regional champions too such as T’Gallant, Coldstream and Seppelt. It’s fantastic when you go out to dinner and you can actually see our wines on the wine list and people enjoying our products. It makes you very proud to work for a company with such a great line-up of some of Australia’s best vineyards.
One of the things I’ve really enjoyed about the role is being involved in the product development process. I get to work with the winemakers and the design team and seeing the product come to live and succeed in the market and having consumers include it in their repertoire.
We work with a range of agencies from design, creative, to below the line to PR – quite a range of people. Recently we worked on a new campaign for Yellowglen. It was all about celebrating women so we had three gorgeous women down in Flinders Lane in Melbourne sitting on a car being showered with bubbles as if they were the stars of a ticker tape parade. It was great fun.
I’ve been in the company for almost 10 years and have made some fantastic friends here. Because I’ve had time in our overseas offices, I’ve got friends in the US, Asia, the UK and of course here in Australia. I think everyone is really hard working and really passionate about their brands. We have fun together and it’s good to enjoy a glass of our product together at the end of the day when we can.
